I have been on hiatus for 6 yrs, but I’m back.  My last vintage furniture sale was 6 yrs. ago and I claimed that that was the last one.  But here I am again determined to create fresh new designs.

I have a large collection of furniture that I have painted and decorated.  I find it relaxing to concentrate on the old pieces making them my canvas and watching them come alive again:  Calling it recycling.  This year I will probably have close to 100 pieces for my sale.

I paint at least 4 pieces at a time and each piece takes time for me to imagine the finished product that will entice a buyer.  My pieces have wholesale prices.  I love having the sale and meeting new people who enjoy art.  My painted furniture sale is the first week of August 4, 5, and 6.  Time:  9 am-7. My address is:  8079 Skyline Dr, between Wallings and Sprague, next to 77.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed for pleasant weather.  RAIN DATES:  Aug. 11, ,12, 13.

Look for the big white tent.

Acrylic on canvas.   Great gift for someone or for yourself.  Capture that image of your pet.  My paintings are loose (impressionistic).  I capture the sincere image (personality of your pet).  The image appears to be alive.  Not a stiff photograph.  Being an animal lover, I am always eager to start a new painting of someone’s best friend.

Always Attentive

Talk about recycling.  These were orginally bowling balls, but now they are garden orbs.  Can withstand rain and sun.  Painted and sealed.  They can sit upon rocks, flower pots, bird baths or a metal stand.  The skies the limit.  Be creative and bold.  They will be on display at Studio B’s art reception at Brecksville Center of the Arts the month of April.

Life of a Wave Series

Rolling Waves

I will have on display for the first time a series of waves at Framers Gallery in Brecksville, OH.

The waves were created comparing life and waves. A poem that I wrote accompanies the paintings. It’s the first time I have written my thoughts with my paintings. It will give you an idea of how an artist creates paintings and what they are thinking of in the process.

Let your mind roll with the waves.

Framer Gallery will have the waves on display the month of April. They are located in the Brecksville Shopping Center.

The Depth Of The Life Of A Wave

Waves are like life, overflowing with consequences.

From birth, growing, swelling, gathering, taking on life’s trails.

Then weakening, disappearing leaving life’s fragments behind.

Waves can be drowning, like life, threatening.

Sometimes warm, sometimes wickedly cold.

Refreshing. Monotonous. Empowering. Unpredictable.

Colors of blue blendings of green:  Frosted with white foam.

Painting the effects of life on our soul.

Suddenly,

Frightening and unfriendly-

Grasping, pushing, pulling, surrounding you.

The rolling surf is bubbly and frothy.

Breathtaking.

Mysteriously embracing life’s past events.

It’s a journey, always moving forward and backward.

Rocking.

Forever changing –

Like life, we cautiously enter the water.

The peaceful motion of the water returns to its birth.

The wave of life ………………..
