Good morning world. Going to PA to pick up my grandson for the week. He is a young artist (age 6). Hopefully, he’ll paint this week.
Nice job! But who would have expected anything less?
Hey Steph, love the site. Quick testamonial for those people reading this and thinking about taking Stephanie’s class. I have been an artist as long as I can remember…it’s in my blood. My father, my grandfather, and my cousin are accomplished artists. I have been focusing on the meticulous art of tattooing for 7 years, mentored and advised by world-renowned tattoo artists. Fortunately, through a family party I met Stephanie and therefore signed up for her classes this past winter. In only 7 very fun laid back classes with Stephanie, I have turned the corner and am becoming the artist I have been striving for my entire 34 years of life. The classes are so fun and exciting and extemely affordable. You leave feeling so accomplished and at peace, only looking forward to the next class. I look forward to taking more classes asap and registering my children as well.
Thanks Aaron for the compliments. You have a lot of natural talent. My goal is to make the classes fun and relaxed with a no pressure atmosphere. You were a nice addition to the group.
Hey Steph,
Lori and I love that you have a blog! Wish we were in OH so we could take your class. Well, Lori’s not sure you’d want her as a student, ’cause she thinks she didn’t get the artistic gene… 😉
Did you know that the title of your first post – “Hello World” – is famous in the technology geek world too? It’s the first program people who learn the C programming language write.
Enough useless trivia. Keep on bloggin’!!
Went to a nice art show today at Western Reserve Bank. Cheri Homaee’s show attracted a lot of local residents who were in awe of the diveristy of Cheri’s work. Her paintings will be up at Western Reserve Bank thru June.
Getting ready for the student/teacher art show on Saturday, May 1 at Brecksville Center for the Arts on Highland Dr. Show opens at 10 am and continues to 5 pm that day.
There will be a variety of things for sale and an art show of the after school art programs students. Be sure to stop by and absorb the creative energy.
Some of the things that I will have for sale: Metal outdoor chairs decorated with florals, painted linen shopping bags, mini framed acrylic paintings, painted treasure boxes, childrens bracelets, painted garden aprons, and of course paintings.
There will be numerous gifts for Mom for Mothers Day, which is May 9.
Did a demo at Barnes and Noble in Fairlawn on Friday, May 7. What a nice place. The crowd was great, too. I felt so welcome there. Barb Darbutt is such a pleasure to talk to. I plan on going back to demo again soon.
Today, we had a Studio B art club meeting at Brecksville Center for the Arts. We had a motivational speaker (Jo Ann Depolo). She gave us a lot of good tips about how to sell art and what to watch out for. The crowd was very pleased with his talk.
I have a busy week, 6 classes. Can’t wait to post their work. See it on Facebook.
I’ve been working on more Koi paintings. It’s the fish series. A splash of color.
